KukaXoco Finance: Unethically Ethical ETFS

There are a group of investment funds that claimed to select stocks on ethical principles (as opposed to the unethical nature of the SPY stocks?). Yet all of these funds track the SPY, pretty much destroying any claims of ethnicalness, and become nothing more than a scam to con management fees from believers.

There are some investment funds that are 'Christian', but their existence contradicts repeated Jesus's messages to give away some-to-all of your money to the poor. Despite claiming to invest only in Bible-following companies, these funds don't. And what are 'Bible-following' companies? Both the gods in the Old Testament and Jesus in the New Testament repeatedly and emphatically endorse the evil of human slavery. Can modern Christians thus ethically invest in companies that exploit slavery (or near slavery - hello Uber!)?

Most likely labelling themselves "Christian" is a marketing ploy to exploit naive people's religious beliefs to become richer.

The USA Securities and Exchange Commission should shut down all of these morally fraudulent funds, which earn fees for doing nothing but mimicking the SPY while immorally pretending to be ... moral. Should trigger the False Advertising laws of California.

Frankly, some of the symbols for these funds are obscene (geesh, how about one honestly named Christian fund named 30PS - "30 Pieces of Silver"?). Note: the following are other non-Christian relilgious ETFs, which have the same financial problems as the above: track the SPY but with lower dividends.

Look, too much of the financial world is unethical. There really are not any "ethical" subsets. If you want to be an "ethical" investor, invest to make the most riches, and then give away most of your gained riches to the poor, to the "blessed meek".
